PATRICIA WIDMER

Programme Head „Women Back to Business“,
University of St. Gallen

Patricia Widmer has been working at the Executive School for Management, Technology and Law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) since 2014. Since autumn 2016, she has been Programme Head of the advanced training course "Women Back to Business" (German and English).

Prior to her time at the University of St. Gallen, Widmer studied business administration with a focus on banking and finance at the University of Zurich. At the same time, she began her career at a major Swiss bank. She then spent several years abroad in the USA and Germany with her family. During this time, Widmer worked for various charitable organizations. After her return to Switzerland, she completed the same course at the HSG, which she now presides over as Programme Manager.

In addition to her work at the HSG, Widmer has been a PhD student at Middlesex University since 2017 and researches diversity management, stereotypes and unconcious bias. Since November 2018 she has also has been sitting on the board of trustees of the "Look Good Feel Better" Foundation, a charitable foundation of leading cosmetics companies in Switzerland. The foundation offers free beauty workshops for cancer patients undergoing medical treatment.
